Judit Szabó

(1955, Budapest)

After graduating from secondary school, Judit Szabó obtained a degree in photography from the Vocational Training Institute in 1976. She was an intern at the Hungarian Film Laboratory Institute between 1974 and 1976. She took her pictures with an analogue camera and developed them using analogue techniques for a long time, but ten years ago she switched to working with a digital camera. She won the Rudolf Balogh Award in 2012. In recent years, she has had solo exhibitions at the Hungarian Museum of Photography in Kecskemét (2023) and the Slovak Photo Month festival in Bratislava (2024). Her works are included in the collections of the Hungarian Museum of Photography and the Bibliothèque nationale de France in Paris.
