Gábor Máté is a Rudolf Balogh Award-winning photographer. He graduated from the Hungarian College of Applied Arts in 1991 and received his doctoral degree from the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in 2014. His mentors were Gábor Kopek, László Hefter, Imre Benkő, Károly Matusz, Ernő Szíjjártó, Tibor Zátonyi, Zsigmond Károlyi, and Béla Tóth. He focuses on the subject of human attachment, presenting modern families in his series about married and divorced couples and their children. He believes that the success and happiness of children are hanging by the thin threads spun by their parents, and if we consider the future as something that belongs to our children, then the key to that future lies in the hands of the parents.
