Balázs Faa

(1966, Pápa)

Between 1985 and 1990 he studied at the MKF, and in 1993-94 at the postgraduate academy of the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam. He creates conceptual installations, prints and NFTs related to mathematics. He has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Hungary and the USA, and his solo exhibition opened at the Kunsthalle Budapest in 2018. He received the Derkovits Scholarship in 1991, the Prins Bernard Fons Scholarship in 1993 and 1994, the bronze medal of the Osaka Graphic Triennial in 1994, and the Munkácsy Prize in 2001. In 2022, he won the Design Excellence Award at the 11th Asian Design Graphic Triennial.
