Lajos Síró

Lajos Síró graduated in geography and drawing from the Bessenyei György Teacher Training College, where his mentor was the painter János Horváth. He is a member of the Association of Hungarian Creative Artists, the Association of Hungarian Photographers and the Association of Hungarian Graphic Artists. He was awarded the special prize of the Association of Hungarian Photographers at the Esztergom Photo Biennial in 1996. He received the József Pécsi Scholarship in 1998. Between 2018 and 2022, he won several awards at the Esztergom Photo Biennial and the Miskolc Winter Exhibition. In recent years, he has had solo shows in Tiszaújváros, Nyíregyháza, Sopron and Debrecen. He has also participated in group exhibitions in Budapest, Pécs and New York. His works can be found in the collections of the Hungarian Graphic Arts Foundation, the István Dobó Castle Museum in Eger, the Miskolc Gallery, the Modern Graphic Collection in Tokyo, and the Municipal Gallery of Nyíregyháza.
