Péter Herendi
(1953, Budapest)
Péter Herendi took up photography in 1987 and uses photographic tools to present his artistic vision. His recent experimental works have focused on the shaping of digital data into an archaic picture. Most important exhibitions in recent years: Art9 Gallery, Budapest (2020, 2024) Kolta Gallery, Budapest (2021), Artphoto Gallery (2022). Collections that feature his works include the Hungarian Museum of Photography, the Museum of Fine Arts (Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA) and the M+M Auer Collection (Hermance, Switzerland). He won the Rudolf Balogh Award in 2012. He received the Life Achievement Award of the Association of Hungarian Photographers in 2025.
