Anikó Robitz

(1978, Nagykanizsa)

Anikó Robitz studied analogue photography at the Szellemkép Free School. Then, in 2011, she graduated from Milton Friedman University with a degree in liberal arts, specialising in film. In her photographs taken between 2008 and 2020, she reduced details of built urban environments to geometric shapes. A selection of this series was published in an art album released in collaboration with the Photon Gallery in Slovenia. She has been shooting on film again and developing her own photos since 2021. In her latest works, she explores the spiritual and artistic motifs of landscape and pre-Columbian cultures in an abstract photographic language. In 2025, in addition to her solo exhibition in Budapest, she participated in several group exhibitions, including ones in Vienna, Cologne, Coaraze, and Olmütz. Her works have also been displayed in two Hungarian contemporary art collections in Budapest and Pécs.
