Promethean reflects on how biotechnology is reshaping our understanding of life. Cloning, lab-grown tissues, and genetic modification are no longer distant ideas but part of our everyday reality, dissolving the boundary between what emerges naturally and what is artificially designed. My project responds to this shift by constructing fictional organisms.

Zoi Dontasz

Zoi Dontasz obtained her BA degree in photography in 2024 from the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest, where she is currently studying for her MA. She is working on a project titled Promethean under the supervision of Gábor Arion Kudász and with the professional support of her university consultants. Photography, 3D modelling and printing, as well as AI-based image generation all play a defining role in her artistic endeavours. Her visions of the future created through the tools of speculative design and photography are at the focus of her work.
