György Boros

(1958, Nyíregyháza)

He started to make photographs while still a child. For thirty years, he was artistic director of the Nyíregyháza Photo Club, and taught photography at the Artistic Vocational School. He was a member of the Studio of Young Photographers between 1983–1989. Currently he is the photographer of the Jósa András Museum. In 2006 he was awarded the city’s scholarship, in 2014 the municipality’s prize. His works can be found in the Herman Ottó Museum, the Jósa András Museum, the Hungarian Museum of Photography, the Municipal Gallery, Nyíregyháza, the Szöllősi-Nagy – Nemes Collection and the Joseph Kádár Collection (Paris).
