Known for his distinctive, dramatically toned pictures that predominantly explore sociographic themes, his main influences were Edward Weston and Diane Arbus. He worked as a reporter for leading weekly journals, but as an exhibiting photographer he made use of all the available creative photographic tools, from montage to multiple exposures, and later digital technologies. An album of his reports has been published with the title Rétegek [Layers], his digital works are collected in a volume entitled Más_ kép [Different_Image] and his infrared pictures in a publication entitled Alkonyzóna [Twilight Zone]. In 1986 he received the Béla Balázs Award. His forthcoming latest series, The Cold of Home marks a return to his absurdistdocumentarist beginnings.
